At MCP Sport, our mission is to provide high-quality Strength and Conditioning for athletes. We believe that everyone should have access to the training they need to pursue their passion for sports.
The old Guy.
Sam McColl is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a BSc. in Kinesiology from Camosun College. He began his career with an internship at MCP, where he later became a full-time coach.
Sam has worked with athletes in hockey, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and rugby, coaching teams like PCHA, Belmont High School, and JDF Hockey. He also has experience in personal training and group fitness.
Passionate about weight training and Jiu-Jitsu, Sam applies a science-backed, well-rounded approach. Sam works to enhance strength, endurance, and mobility, helping athletes and individuals reach their full potential on and off the field.
Ethan Fox has been working with athletes through baseball coaching and S&C work for 5 years. Throughout his 20 years of baseball experience he has spent time playing collegiate baseball for Douglas college, Avila University, and Victoria Harbourcats. Currently in his fourth year of the Bachelors in Kinesiology program at Camosun College, with plans to complete his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist exam after his degree. Ethan has worked in the strength and conditioning field for 3 years, starting at Prime Sports Performance and Therapy in Nanaimo, and current MCP performance coach.
With Ethan’s leadership abilities and experience working with athletes, he has found a passion for helping athletes reach their true potential on and off the field.
Jagger Cohen is a certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with six years of education in Sports Science. Earned a diploma in Fitness & Health Promotion from Niagara College and later a BSc. in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. Jagger gained hands-on experience at the Gryphons Performance Center, working with multiple varsity teams in his fourth year and was the top S&C intern of 2023. He then accepted a position as Assistant S&C Coach at Okanagan Hockey Academy before joining MCP.
Currently Jagger oversees programs for a handful of youth teams and the Westshore Rebels Junior Football Team.
He emphasizes a holistic approach by focusing on stress, recovery, and consistency in order to build sustainable performance habits in athletes.
At MCP Sport, we operate out of a 3,750-square-foot facility. We have plenty of equipment to accommodate large teams.
